Dream Translations

Who is that? It's me, pressed up against the store window as I stare longingly at these tempting morsels I cannot linguistically comprehend.

Have a list. Because I keep coming up with more of these, and I really want to make sure I remember them so I can check for translations in the future!

Black/Matrix [Series; various devices]

Black Matrix (Saturn) box art.

So, Wikipedia describes the franchise as:

Each installment in the series combines standard tactical RPG gameplay with a pastiche of Judeo-Christian religious themes, particularly concerning the nature of good and evil and the interplay between Heaven, Hell, and Earth and the denizens thereof. One title was considered for North American release in 1999, and it is believed that it was eventually passed over due to its religion-derived themes.

I read this and just about vibrated out of my skin on my way over to the nearest search engine to see if there were any fan translations. I was met with disappointment...and then a second round of disappointment when I saw one game marked as translated on CDRomance only for that to be a menu patch more or less. This is so ridiculously relevant to my interests (and makes me all the more grateful we did get Xenogears officially localized into English!). My life for Black/Matrix in English...!

Meremanoid [PS1]

It's the cover art. Literally just this cover art. I don't care if the game is hot garbage. I'm utterly besotted with this cover art. Look at it!!

Mitsumete Knight [PS1]

Mitsumete Knight box art.

I hear a game get described as a Tokimeko Memorial successor; my interest is piqued. I hear a game described as TokiMemo but with even richer individual narratives for the girls; I am approaching Google at rapid speeds. I hear a game described as TokiMemo but with a serious, war-heavy narrative making it distinct from its spiritual predecessor; I am on my knees, bereft at a lack of English translation.

It sounds so cool!!
